April 2016

Wow April has been one crazy month for us.  Between piano, singers company, baseball and soccer we have been just running from one event to the next.  Hence the reason there isn't a lot of pictures. But you can enjoy the few pictures I do have.  Phoenix started us off with baseball at the beginning of the month.  Then Reagan started soccer a couple weeks later.  Which I keep forgetting to get a picture of.  So I will have to do that for next month's update.

Kaylin is now entering in the curiosity stage.  One night we laid her in our bed because she was keeping her sister up.  I go back there when it is pitch black and just see this black face with little white eyes starring back.  It gave me quite the scare and then I laughed!  All while Kaylin cried.  She had gotten into my makeup and more particularly my mascara.  The whole bottle was gone and on her face.  She hated when I took it off and has been more hesitant to taking my make up now.

Reagan got to attend her first field trip and to prepare each kid got to choose an animal to do a report on.  Reagan chose the python.  She loved painting on the scales and finding information on the Internet with dads help.  We were so proud of the hard work she did.
Of course being big Star Wars fans we went and the got the new movie the day that it came out.  Unfortunately due to being so so busy we weren't able to watch it until two weeks later. But when we did it was a fun night for us all.
Besides all the fun we have with sports and other activities we still managed to do even more. We went to the zoo with a friend of ours and had so much fun.  It was so great to get out while it was nice and sunny to let the kids have fun.

I also met up with my little sister Alecia to go see the new Saturdays Warrior movie.  We grew up watching the original on Sundays and we were so excited for a sister night.  We laughed so hard and even teared up a couple times.  I love when I get to go out with my sisters.
I also got to go and help my sister Melissa pack her house so she could move.  She found this hilarious hulk sucker.  So naturally the kids all wanted to try it and get their picture taken.  Kaylin did not like it once it was near her mouth.

This last month I started training for a 5k.  I have been wanting to drop some weight and get into shape.  So my mom started by running and then asking us to do races with her.  So then it was onto training and then off to the race.  I was very happy with my results and had so much fun doing it with my mom.  Now it is onto the next race.

February and March 2016

Yes I got behind again.... it seems to happen a lot.  I guess that must mean I have been busy.  Which when I look at my calendar is so very true.  So let me get you caught up on the last couple of months.
We started the month off with Reagan's 6th birthday party.  She has been playing with friends who have Monster High dolls.  She decided that was so cool that she wanted a monster high party.  She was lucky to have so many friends and family come and support her.

Reagan was born on February 10th. This is a very big day in our family.  She has a cousin who passed away before he turned 1 and his birthday is February 10th.  Every year on her birthday she gets a balloon and launches it in the sky for her cousin Boston.  It is a sweet tradition.

Reagan also got picked to be on the coyote wall at school.  They get their picture put in the hall and a little note written about them.  That way all the kids in school can see they are doing a great job.
We have a tradition of going sledding at gargoza park.  We go every year with our family and it is so much fun.  Kaylin is unfortunately too small to be able to go so she got to hang out with some friends.  But luckily next year she will be able to go with us.  We had a ball going and it was so much fun!

One warm February day we decided to meet up with Aunt Lucy and go to the zoo.  It was bright and sunny and felt so good.  We always have so much fun when we get to go to the zoo.  Its even better when a fun aunt gets to join us.

Reagan had her 100th day of kindergarten so they wanted us to help them dress up like a 100 year old person.  She wanted me to give her lines all over her face for wrinkles.  Then she had to have a purse, necklace and cardigan... I love her and the creative ways she thinks.
Kaylin was so excited, we went and saw the good dinosaur in the movie theater and she was thrilled when I took her to go and buy the movie.
It finally got warm enough that we put the net back up on the tramp and the kids were thrilled.  They love our trampoline and beg to go out all the time.  It wears them out so I am happy to let them go play.
In March we were able to attend our nephews wedding.  It was a fun day for Steve and I because it was like walking down memory road.  They got married at the Mount Timpanogos Temple, where we got married,  their sealer was our sealer, their photographer was my sister Alecia's photographer for her wedding, and their reception location was the location of Melissa's wedding.
The kids had Dr. Seuss week, they got to do crazy hair, dress how you want to be in the future, among other things. They had fun dressing up.

Next up on our crazy month was celebrating Steve's birthday.  He is such a good husband and does so much so we wanted to make sure he knew how much we loved him by making some awesome food and dessert.  As well as getting him gifts to spoil him.

A really fun thing that I didn't get any pictures of was the two night time Easter egg hunts we did.  My parents have always done a night time Easter egg hunt. Last year we decided to do one of our own and it was a hit.  As the holiday approached we had a bunch of people ask if we were doing it again.  Which we did, we had our night time hunt on Monday and my parents had theirs on Friday.  It was so much fun and the kids had a ball!  We can't wait to do it again next year.
Sisterly love.
For the Easter we headed down to my parents house and spent the weekend.  We got to attend the BYU blue and white game.  It was packed!  I haven't seen a spring game that packed ever.  Both East and West sides of the stands were almost filled to the top.  By halftime it got super cold so we headed home.  Later that night me and Steve were able to sneak away for a date night and went and saw the movie Allegiant.  It was an awesome movie, it went by way too fast!  The next day we spent the day coloring Easter eggs, doing Easter egg hunts, going to church, and having a great family dinner.  It was very relaxing.

Finally I am going to brag about my great husband.  He has been working for MRIOA for 4 years.  When he started 6 months later he got promoted to supervisor.  Then this last month he got promoted to senior management.  This is a big deal.  In the past 10 years no one in the company has moved up in the company as fast as he has.  It is a big deal for us because for years he got passed up for promotions and advances in the company he was with despite having an awesome work review.  So it is nice to be with a company that recognizes all that he does and how smart he is.  That he has a lot to give to any position that he is in.  That he is now with a company that sees what he brings to the company, loves it and rewards him for it.  I am so proud of you Steve!!
