December 2008

Well this year is now over and done so we will catch you up on what has happened in December. First we started off the month by our countdown to Christmas calendar. We get one every year and bakey got his first one from Grandma and Grandpa Pranger. Every night when Steve got home they would open one day and eat the chocolate. They are so cute!!

Later that month we went with my dad's ward activity. Alecia and Melissa were glad to have Phoenix there to entertain them. We had a fabulous dinner, made a gingerbread house, and met Santa for the first time. Phoenix was not to thrilled about that. We were also excited because earlier that day Steve and I were able to go on a date. We went up to Salt Lake City to go and see the play Savior of the World. For anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to see this play it is amazing. It is about Christ's ministry while here on the earth. I cry every time I see it.

Phoenix has found a new place to hang out while at my parents place. He loves to go in the Tupperware drawer. He just throws it all out and laughs while doing it. It is funny. We were also excited because BYU went to another Las Vegas Bowl. This year we opted not to go but to stay home and have a party with our friends. So of course we had to get Phoenix a new outfit. Unfortunately BYU lost that game but we still had fun with all of our friends.

While Steve was in the midst of finals I was able to go sledding with my family. There is a place called soldiers hallow where they drag your tube up a hill and you go sledding down. Grandma Pranger was more than happy to hang out with Phoenix and play with him all night. It was a great night for me to go sledding with my dad and sisters, Melissa and Alecia. It was a ton of fun!

Then Christmas Eve was here. I went up to my parents house to hang out with the girls while Steve went out to lunch with the boys. The boys started a tradition that they go out to Red Lobster for lunch of Christmas Eve. So I decided to go and hang out with my sisters. Me and Melissa built a gingerbread house and had a fun time reminiscing. We sang songs and rocked out like we were both in junior high. It was great. A tradition in my family is Santa drops off pajamas. So we were excited when we all got camouflage pajamas. We then proceeded to look at Christmas lights. Phoenix was so tired he just fell asleep. But not before he grabbed my wallet and took all my credit cards out. Smart boy!

WOW!! Christmas was here. We were all very spoiled this year. We got more than we ever expected to get. Here are just some of the highlights. Phoenix- Clippo tray and box, magnadoodle, blocks, and tons of clothes. Steve- Flag football kit, winter jacket, and slacks. Whitney- Cd's, Mama Mia, Tripod, and shoes. Steve and I also got a great camera from Santa. We were excited about that.

We were also blessed to receive many great gifts from our family. We received a BBQ from my parents, money from Grandma and Grandpa Baker (which of course we bought a ton of Disney movies with), A plaque from Steve's brothers family, Some blocks with our last name on it from my brothers family, and money and gift cards from several other members of our family.
Phoenix- He is running like crazy. He has also learned how to throw a tantrum. He is very dramatic and usually throws himself on the floor. It is actually quite hilarious to watch. He was excited because this month he got his first pet. It is a beta fish and he loves to just sit and watch his fish. He is constantly growing and continuing to learn how to sign and talk. He is a bundle of joy.

Steve-Well Steve finished up his classes this semester. He finish out with two B+ and one B-. So we were quite excited about that. Now we are just getting ready for next semester and finishing one online course. We are so proud of how hard he has studied and it has been nice for him to have such a long break.

Whitney- I am doing great. I have just been busy with Phoenix. I have started to let bakey help me cook some things. Mainly he helps me make batters to something and we bake it together. That has been fun for me. I have also enjoyed being able to get out and do so many things with my family.

We just to thank all those who sent many well wishes and gifts this holiday season. We love you all.
