Merry Christmas
This year was a very magical and amazing year for us here in the
Baker household. We had many great
adventures, outings and vacations as a family.
We went to the zoo many times, the park countless times and were out
playing all the time. One of our
favorite memories from this year was our trip to Disneyland. We always love taking our kids and are
already looking forward to doing it again.
We had many ups and downs this year.
From kids growing up, breaking bones, losing teeth and getting
baptized. We can’t believe how quickly
it has all flown by and can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for
us.
Steve-
He continues to work for Medical Review Institute of America. He is the manager of Customer Service and has
been for two years. He has loved all the
challenges that have come with this job.
He was put in charge of organizing his co-workers to help put together a
yurt. Every year his company chooses a cause to give back to and this year it
was to build a yurt for a camp for kids with disabilities. He was released as a nursery worker and is
now the Deacons Quorum advisor and assistant Scoutmaster. He loves working with the youth and looks
forward to all the campouts they will be doing this summer.
Whitney-
I continue to grow in my photography and have had a lot of business
this year. Although at times it has
seemed overwhelming, it has been so much fun and I look forward to growing even
more this next year. I am so blessed to
stay home with the kids and be with them.
With two in school and one napping all afternoon, I have had to learn to
keep myself busy. I keep busy with
genealogy work, baking, cooking, and my photography. I was also released from nursery this year
and am now the Sunday school teacher for the 14-16 year olds.
Phoenix-
This year Phoenix, who turned 8, made the decision to be baptized as
a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was a very special day for all of us. He has mastered riding his bike so much that
he has actually wore out his seat because he would ride so much. He especially loved when we went to stay at
his grandparents’ house for a week and we took him to ride a bike down the canyon. He also participated in soccer this spring
and then flag football this fall. He
definitely loves football more than soccer and is already looking forward to
this next season.
Reagan-
This year was a year of growing up for this 5 year old. This year she graduated from preschool and is
now attending Kindergarten. She loves to
ride the bus to school and gets mad if I have to run an errand in town and drop
her off. She is constantly making new
friends and we are constantly running her around for playdates. She also started to do singers company this
year. She gets to go and learn new songs
and dance moves. Then we get to see her
perform, she loves her teacher and looks forward to going every week. She also lost two teeth this year; she could
hardly contain her excitement. She can’t
wait to lose more.
Kaylin-
Well we are officially in the toddler stage with this little two year
old. She has grown so much this
year. Unfortunately this year we got to
experience our first broken bones.
Kaylin tripped on the sidewalk and broke both the bones in her left arm
(I did the same thing but at the age of 5 and jumping off the swing set.). I guess you could say like mother, like
daughter. She has been our shyest baby
and has had a hard time when mom or dad is not around. But thanks to some awesome family who watched
her despite all the crying and wailing she is finally getting out of that
stage. She is definitely our happiest
toddler, when she is around mom and dad.
She loves to smile, laugh and tickle you if she can. Her tiny toddler
words just melt us sometimes. Especially
when she says La- Loo (Love you).
We hope this holiday season has been a great one for all of you, our
friends and family. We are so lucky to
have you in our lives and count ourselves blessed to know you. We hope that this holiday season is full of
happiness and love for each one of you.
Love,
Steve, Whitney, Phoenix,
Reagan and Kaylin Baker
