JULY!!

July was a whirlwind for all of us. It started off with a bang, quite literally. Fourth of July was a blast. We had hot air balloons, parades, swimming, barbecues, and fireworks. It was so much fun. We started off early and saw a ton of hot air balloons, Phoenix was so intrigued by the balloons. After that we went to the annual parade. The nice thing is it was right down the street from us. So as soon as Phoenix was done it was just a jump, hop and a skip away from our home. After that we went to one of our best friends place and had a barbecue and got to go swimming. Then finally we got to go watch fireworks. We always go to watch BYU's fireworks. We sit right across from where they are launched. The fireworks look like they are coming right at you. It is amazing! Phoenix loves fireworks too, no screaming, no fussing, just starring and oohhing.

Then about a week later we got to celebrate Phoenix's birthday early. His Grandma and Grandpa Pranger threw him a rocking birthday party. He got a ton of presents and had a ton of fun!! Then came the fun part. For his birthday cake they set up a pool that had a city of cakes. Then Phoenix got to be "godzilla" for a moment and go and destroy the city. He liked walking up to it. The actual destroying of the city he didn't like so much. He cried because he didn't like the cake all over his hands, feet, face and stomach. But it was still hilarious.


Then just one week later we got to enjoy throwing our own birthday party for Phoenix. We had a barbecue and cake. It was so much fun. Once again he was super spoiled by all of our friends and family once again. He got so many toys and clothes it took us three trips into the house to bring it out and then back in. Then our toy chest is overflowing with toys. We are so grateful for all who were able to share this special day with us.

Then just another week and another event for us to celebrate with. This time it was the 24th of July, PIONEER DAY!! It was so nice because Steve had the day off so we could do some chores and relax. We were able to go and see a movie, which Phoenix only cried once in. The rest of the time he did great. We then went up to my parents place and watched fireworks and made smores. So overall this has been a very busy and fun month for us.

Phoenix- Well as you can tell it was a very busy month for him. He is now 1 which is fun, he is still not quite walking. He will take 4-9 steps then faceplant. It is actually quite hilarious. He has decided that he doesn't want to say anything other than DAD. He learned how to say that and nothing is quite as interesting to say than Dad. Well with the one year mark also means another visit to the doctor where he weighs in at 23 pounds and 31 inches tall. So he is quite tall for his age.

Steve- He is getting ready for school once again. He met with his councelor and plans are in place to graduat August 2009. We are so excited for that to come but are just ready to tackle the semester we have ahead of us. He also switched his position at his work. He use to be a receptionist but now he does coding. He loves it alot more and work is going by alot quicker. He was also very happy because this month he got to buy a brand new enertainment center. We were so excited it was one of the first new purchases in our home. So that was exciting for him.

Whitney- Well as you can tell it was a really busy month with all the various activites going on. Along with that I was very excited to purchase a sectional. We were able to find a great sectional and I was so excited to get it. Along with that I have enjoyed being able to have a lot of fun with Phoenix. On his birthday me, Grandpa Pranger, Aunt Melissa and Cousin Teagan got to enjoy lunch at Chuck E Cheese. That was so much fun. Phoenix didn't care for the rides but loved Chuck E. I also love our new swimming pools so me and Phoenix can go swimming during the day. It is alot of fun.
