September

September has been a slow but fun month for us. We have just been getting back into the swing of a school schedule once again and enjoying BYU football games. BYU has had a great season so far. We were particularly excited that they had two shut out games in a row. The last time we did that was back in 1985. Funny enough the score then was the same as now. 59-0 and 44-0.

Of course Phoenix has loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Pranger. They help us out by watching him and he helps out by doing chores with them. More or less he makes a mess while they are doing various activities. So far he has cleaned an office, trimmed a tree, ate cherries, mowed, played with Liberty (grandpa's dog), cooked, cleaned and played with a ton of toys. Like I said he LOVES spending time with them and we are grateful for our game day dates. Other than that life has been relatively quiet this month.

We were excited to celebrate two birthdays this month. We celebrated Aunt Alecia's 18th birthday on September 11 and then we had cousin Teagans birthday September 18. Phoenix loved going to lunch with Teagan. They went to Chuck E Cheese and Phoenix still hates the rides. He likes the games but all the rides he cried on. Fall came all to quickly around here but is great to see all the color start to appear on the trees. Steve has been taking three night classes and one
online course. He is especially been enjoying his LDS psychology course. He has learned so much and truly feels like that is the program he wants to do as his graduate degree. I am excited to see the light and fire in his eyes as he is learning. Plus it is fun to hear all about classes when he gets home. We were excited this month because we got to speak in church. We had two of our best friends Merrill and Shannon watch Phoenix during church. We had a good kick out of watching them play with him. Phoenix also got to help Grandpa with a class project.

Steve- Well like I said before he is working, doing school, and being a wonderful dad. He was excited to do a daddy- son night with Phoenix. They went to McDonald's and had a fun night together. Then they came back to play football and fall asleep. Overall it was a great night for both of them. He has been doing a fantasy football draft with his friends and is doing great so far. He loves to hang out with Merrill, his best friend, as they root on their different players. Both Steve and I have a new calling. We were called to the ward choir. So Steve is pulling out his guitar once again and playing it, of course with Phoenix by his side.

Phoenix- He is awesome. He is just a bundle of joy that never stops. He has fell in love with going outside and helping mom with the garden. He also loves to play on our fence, he likes the noise it makes. He started to feed himself this month and is now determined to do it all the time. It is fun to see him grow up he is looking more and more like his dad everyday.Phoenix has also loved playing with his bubble machine. He got it for his birthday from his Grandma and Grandpa Pranger and goes bonkers for bubbles!

Whitney- I am doing wonderfully. I have enjoyed spending time outside with Phoenix. I am also excited that I grew two pumpkins, 6 zucchinis, over 100 green beans, over a dozen tomatoes and now my cucumbers our on their way. It has been fun for me to have this project. I was also excited to throw a baby shower with Shannon, one of my best friends, for another friend of ours Jackie Meyer. The other fun thing I did this month was a girls night out. We went to California about two years ago with a whole bunch of girls I know and have become some our dearest friends. We were able to go out to dinner and reminisce about our trip. We also decided in five years we all have to do another California trip again.
