The Zoo.... My parents gave Steve a pass to the Hogle Zoo up in Salt Lake City for his birthday and we have used it several times. We did it three out of the 5 weeks this month. Once I went with my mother's group. It was so nice that my sister Katie and sister in law Mackenzie were able to go as well. The second time it was Grandpa's turn to take the boys and Alecia loves the zoo and her little nephews and wanted to go as well. It was a blast!! Then the third time Steve was able to go with me and Phoenix. It was such a fun day and he enjoyed watching Phoenix's excitement at all the different animals.

We also got season passes to a local water park this year. Unfortunately we don't have any pictures yet but we will get some. Phoenix loves the kiddy area. He especially loves that it has slides and he and daddy go on them all the time. Steve is such a good dad and I love that he is like a little kid and has so much fun with his son!!
Other than that Steve is doing very well is school. For those who did not hear he got a 4.0 last semester. He is currently is spring semester but then going to take summer semester off. We have also been working on the spring clean up of yards around the neighborhood. It has been such a great blessing to us. We have been allowed to do so much and we have seen the blessing being pored down onto us.
Steve- Well as you can tell he is doing great. He is loving his spring classes. He is currently taking a mythology class and a sports psychology class. It has been really fun seeing him in his sports psych class because he is such a big sports fan. He comes out really excited every day to tell me what he learned! He has also been a big help with yard work and helping me get our garden going.
Phoenix- He is jabbering!! Quite literally jabbering, he loves to make noise and is trying to learn new words every day. He is also becoming quite the little book worm. He loves to get books and have them read to him over and over so he can learn what different things are. He has loved the zoo. He is learning all the different animals and the noises they make. I think so far his favorites are the birds ( basically because he will point and laugh and yell bird every time he sees one).
Whitney- I am glad it is summer. Now that we are officially into summer it is great. There are so many things to do. One of my favorite things to do is pick Steve up from school. We are so close to BYU that I put Phoenix in the stroller and go and get Steve from classes and we walk home. It has been great exercise and Phoenix loves running to daddy after class. I also planted a much bigger garden this year. We removed three bushes in our backyard that were dying and made it a garden spot. So we got double the room to grow different plants. We planted Roma tomatoes, jalapenos, cucumbers, peas, watermelon, cantaloupe, pumpkins, zucchini, yellow squash, and carrots. Thanks to my dad we also have a little herb garden. It has been nice to have fresh herbs to cook with.
That is all the updates for now. So until next moth.... (as Phoenix would say) buh bye!
