October 2012

Well October was a fun month!  We had so many activities so get ready for picture overload.  So lets get started since there is so much!
I love playing with my two little monkeys.  They love to play on our swing and love to hang on there like they are monkeys.  We also love to play soccer, t-ball, and football.  It is so much fun when we can go out and play!  We also enjoy when we get to sit down and color, play play dough, make yummy food or do puzzles!

We also enjoy FOOTBALL!!  Me and Steve got a season ticket sitting next to my dad this year.  So we swap who goes to which game!  I love going to this stadium and feeling the energy of the crowd. We have had so many great memories here!

We had a few good injuries this month.  First it started with Phoenix running, slipping and landing on the corner of our entertainment center.  Luckily it wasn't to bad of a cut.  But he did have a pretty good black eye.  Later this month he decided to run forehead first into a wall.  He had a nice bump on his head.  But the biggest and baddest injury was Reagan.  She was trying to get down from the table, she got caught on the straps from her booster seat (you know the ones that are there to buckle the kid in so they don't get hurt).  She went chin first into our tiled kitchen floor.  She split her chin wide open.  We took her to the ER where she got three stitches.  It was no fun, but she was super excited to get her Cinderella Barbie when she got home.

The kids are so funny and love to have their picture taken most of the time.  I love how cute these kiddos are!

We also went to a jazz game.  It was the season opener!  We were at the very bottom of the arena.  Phoenix and Reagan had such a good time.  The jazz bear gave them cotton candy and Phoenix got go down and have his picture taken with the ref!  It was just the preseason opener so it was Jazz vs Jazz.  But still a way fun time!

Of course we always go down to my parents for an annual monthly dinner.  We had so much fun, we played hide and seek (Reagan won when Aunty Melissa helped her hide in the washer with a basket over her head), played football.  Plus we got to celebrate my brother Spencer's birthday!  It was such a great time!

Phoenix has his good and bad days at school.  For example bad= coloring on your face on the bus ride home from school.  Good= A-cing your first math test!!

Me and Steve were really excited because for the BYU vs OSU game me and Steve got to the game together!  It was so fun.  Although we lost incredibly bad it was still fun in the beginning.  There is a big rivalry in my family between these two teams.  My mom and dad both grew up around Oregon State, my brother moved to Oregon for a while and is a huge beaver fan.  So when we were at the game we could see Spencer and his family in the Oregon State fan section.  When they would do good he would excitedly yell at us and vice versa!  It was also fun to see a black out at our stadium!  Very cool!

My parents decided to fly out to go the BYU vs Notre Dame game.  Since we are so close to the airport they came up to our house so we could drive them to the airport.  So we made a day out of it.  We took them to the airport, then we went shopping.  The kids sure love driving in Papa's car.  It is funny how just using a different car is a huge adventure for the kiddos.

We also had an ice cream party later that night!
Reagan is such a girly girl.  She love to get her hair done and get ready for the day with me.  This is typically what a morning looks like.

Since it is October we had to carve pumpkins!  The kids got to choose out what they wanted to carve.  Of course Phoenix wanted a super hero so he chose batman.  Reagan being obsessed with princesses and Minnie Mouse chose Minnie. Steve chose to do Jack Skeleton from Nightmare before Christmas.

Since we dropped off my parents to the airport we also had to pick them up.  Reagan was getting so upset because she didn't want to wait to go and see Papa and Nani.  So we colored them pictures, tried to entertain them until we could leave.  But they sure loved going to the airport and picking them up!

We entertain them by paying super heroes!

We also went to Gardner Village. It a shopping area that they decorate differently different times of the year.  This time of the year they have great farmers markets and tons of witches.  So we also love to go out and see all the different witches they have.

We met up with our friends Memori and Scott and their little girl Baya to go to a corn maze.  It was fun!!  It took us about 1 1/2 hours to get through the whole thing.  We even found a shortcut and ended up going backwards at one point.  But soon we found our way and got back on track.  It was a great night.
Our next big adventure was Boo at the Zoo!  We have been doing this for a few years now.  We have never seen it this crowded or busy.  We met up with my family and you not only get to go trick or treating at the zoo but you also get to see all the animals.  So fun!

Look at the Tiger mom!

Reagan with her princesses

These two were so cute and funny riding the carousel.

We also love to dress up!  Phoenix decided that his was hat day.  So he helped Reagan put on his BYU hat!!

We also love to play in the leaves.  Although we only have one tree in our backyard we still have fun raking up the leaves and jumping in them.

Then the big day arrived..... HALLOWEEN!!  We went down to my parents house for our usual party!  We started a few years ago doing indoor trick or treating.  It is where the kids go door to door inside the house and trick or treat to all of us adults.  We then went trick or treating outside and the kids got a whole bunch of candy.  Enough to last us until next year.

Me and my sister Alecia... can you guess who she is (Mitt Romney)
This was how Reagan looked by the time we got home.  Passed out from being so tired!
Steve- He is doing really good.  He has been loving his work and his work is loving him.  A lot of people who are higher up in the company (Including the President) see his potential and are waiting for some openings to come up to have him interview to move up already.  They love how hard he works and how quickly he can learn anything.  So we are trying to be patient to see what the future holds in this company.  He is also the luckiest person I know.  He won two different drawings this month.  One to Amazon for $100.00 and then he won a PS3 bundle of games, blue-tooth headset and money for the PS3 store. So needless to say he has been loving life.
Whitney- I am staying really busy with lots of projects.  I have gotten fabrics for Christmas and am getting all our pajamas, and a very special project for Phoenix worked on. And as you can tell I have been busy going and doing lots of outings with the kids.  Between all of this I have just been busy so it may be short and sweet but you have seen how busy I have been!
Phoenix-He is starting to read.  Although it is not very many words he is starting to learn how to read.  How to sound out words and he is loving it.  He loves going to school and weirdly he loves his homework he gets sent home with.  He can hardly wait to get it done.  He as you can tell loves to go and plays sports with me.  It is fun to see how much he is progressing in school.
Reagan- She is growing up way to quickly.  Since Phoenix and me work on homework everyday she wants to join in on the fun.  She always asks when she can go to school like Bubba.  She has also been really sensitive since getting her stitches.  If ever she falls she freaks out that she is going to have to get stitches again.  But she sill has no fear and will play rough and wild just like usual.
