Well what a fun month July was!! I can't believe how much we jammed into this month! It started out by me taking the kids out to the zoo!! Like I have mentioned in posts before my kids love the zoo!! So its always a fun outing for us!

We headed down to my parents for the 4th of July. We love to go to the parade!! The kids stayed pretty entertained until the end. Then I think they were hot and done. Good thing after a good nap we decided to cool off by going swimming! My parents took us to the Lindon Pool and it was perfect! The kids had so much fun swimming. We then went and had a great barbecue and then we were off to Stadium of Fire. I was particularly excited since my favorite artist (Kelly Clarkson) was performing. The kids were so tired, by the time the fireworks started they were struggling to stay awake.
While down at my parents they had the kids play with some marshmallow guns they had made. So we decided to follow suit and make our own. The kids love shooting marshmallows at each other.
Next we were off to Idaho for a weekend with the Baker clan. Because our kids love their marshmallow guns so much we decided to build a bunch with the rest of the clan. It was so fun! The kids loved being able to shoot each other. We have never seen them run so much!
So this is usually how we are spending our afternoons. We are either outside in the pool or we are running in the sprinklers. The kids love to try and aim water in their mouths. They end up soaked which is perfect when it is 100 + degrees outside.
And can you believe it, it was time for Phoenix's birthday! I can not believe that he is six years old!! He has really been into legos lately so that was the theme of his party. LEGOS!! I love how cute his invitation pictures turned out. It is always fun to photograph my kiddos!
Phoenix woke up early on his birthday and wondered what we had planned for him. So we first let him open up his presents from us. He was so excited because he got exactly what he wanted. Lego creationary, a new bike, and the Lego batman bat cave. It was so perfect. Then what made it even better is when we told him that Steve wasn't going to work but was going to take him to Lagoon! Phoenix loves roller-coasters!! What made it even better is when his Aunt Lucy and Aunt Mel met them up there. While at Lagoon he won himself a big sized minion from Despicable me. He won it on his first try on his first game. Pretty awesome!!
That weekend we had his party. We did build the Lego man, Lego Bingo, and then Lego pinata. Phoenix had fun. We were glad for those who could actually make it.
The kids love playing in the water. One day Phoenix wanted me to spray the water in the bucket while he caught it. He got soaking wet. He tried to get me wet too!! But because he would hold the bucket sideways I got very little water on me and he was drenched. That is my kind of water fight!
Steve-
He is still just working hard at his work and loving life there. They have been so good to let him have quite a few days off to just go and play. He has also loved riding his bike. He is constantly taking the kids out on bike rides.
Whitney-
I am just staying as busy as I can. I love when the months pass by this quickly. It just means I am nearing the end of the pregnancy. This month me and Steve also decided we needed to rearrange the kids. We live in a 3 bedroom place. So since both Phoenix and Reagan sleep through the night they got moved into the same room. That way when Kaylin gets here she can sleep in her room and not wake them up. We wanted to do it before school started for Phoenix that way they are use to it and go to sleep instead of playing :).
Phoenix-
Holy Moly he is now 6!! I really can not believe it has been 6 years since he came into our lives. He is such an amazing boy. He has such a fun personality. He is very independent but then he loves to play follow the leader and do what others do. He is the best big brother ever! He is very attentive and caring to his little sister and is very anxious for Kaylin to get here so he can (as he says) LOVE on her. He has become such the reader this year and it makes me excited to have him read to me instead of the other way around. He is also very aware and sensitive to other people's feelings. I got told this story of him the other day and it shows this very well. He was at church and there was a little boy who was very scared and nervous to go to primary. So Phoenix just walked right up to him. Held his hand and said I will be your best friend and watch out for you. You don't need to be scared so come with me and we will have fun. And the little boy did just that and got a big ol' grin on his face. As a mom that just thrills me to know what a kind boy he is. He loves to watch movies and quote them just like his dad. He loves his Lego's and has the brain of an engineer. Always figuring out how things work or how to make them work. I love this boy so much and it is so fun to see him growing and seeing all the potential he has. I love you my BIG BOY!
Reagan-
She is doing pretty good. It has been nice that we have been busy with lots of activities. It has kept her attention off the fact that her baby sister is getting lots of new stuff. It has especially been good that we have spent so much time with my family this month. Because she loves her Nana and Papa and she feels like she is the queen of the world when they are around. She has also enjoyed her brother's new toys. She loves to sit down and play legos with him all day long. Along with that she has learned how to love our sprinkler. At the beginning of the summer she hated it but now she loves to get wet in it.
Kaylin-
She is doing good. She is measuring 1 1/2 weeks big. So we shall see when she decides to make her debut! We are all getting very excited that she will be here before to much longer!!
