July 2015

July was by far the busiest month this year.  Every weekend was booked solid with tons of fun.  The first weekend we were off and down to Provo for the fourth of July.  But not before meeting up with our best friends.  Our best friends Merrill and Shannon were in town.  We met up several times.  But for the first time we just me for a quick lunch.  Kaylin was fascinated with baby Jovie.  She just wanted to hold her all the time.  It was so cute watching her hold her and love on her.

Then we did the fourth of July in style.  We all went down to the parade.  Its a tradition we don't mess with.  Then it was to Nana's and Papa's for naps.  Then we all went swimming, had a BBQ and then watched fireworks.  It is so much fun celebrating it with the family.

Next on our list was going to a friends baby blessing. Our dear friend Memori and her husband were blessing their 3rd baby, Haven.  She was a cutie and just smiled the entire time.  Since Memori is Merrill's little sister we got to hang out with them again :).

The kids took swim lessons this month too.  They both did so good.  They got in the pool and just had so much fun!  I am proud that they both passed their levels and are ready to move on to the next level.
  .
Well  we had quite the spill for Kaylin.  One day we went out to the park just like normal.  When coming back she tripped and fell.  She acted completely normal not problems.  But the next night Steve was feeling her arm and felt a huge contusion.  So I took her to the instacare and it was broken.  When we got home I got a call from the doctor who was at the instacare.  She explained how not only was the one radial bone was really broken but the ulna bone was broken too.  Because both were broken and broken at a curve, we had to go straight to Primary Children's in the morning so that they could reduce (set the bones in place) her arm.  Then we had to wait 5 days to get her into a cast.  It made for a very busy and tiring few days.  Luckily she was a champ and you really wouldn't notice she broke her arm. She was playing and running and going like crazy!  And even better I had tons of family and friends help our with the other two kiddos so that I could just focus on Kaylin.  Which was good because they got to do fun things and not be so bored.
Right after Kaylin broke her arm we had a work party for Steve's work.  So off we went to laugh at the minion movie.  We  all loved the movie and laughed a lot.

The next day we were off to see our friends once again and be there when they blessed their baby.  We had so much fun hanging out.  But poor Kaylin she wanted to go and play on the park so bad but just couldn't do it with her arm in the sling.  She was pretty miserable because she just wanted to be a normal kid and not be all bandaged up and having to sit on the sideline.

The next day my mom and sister came up to check in on Kaylin.  See told ya... lots of friends and family checking in and helping out.  The kiddos love whenever family comes up to see us and hang out.

We finally got a cast!!  She was so much happier because she could actually run and play without risk of re-breaking it.

My good friend took the kids to go play while we got the cast on.

Well the big day had arrived. Phoenix's birthday.  Since he was turning 8 this year we decided to not do a party but let him invite some friends to Boondocks to go and play.  He had so much fun.  My mom and dad took Kaylin for the day and made it a lot easier to just enjoy time with Phoenix.  My parents made dinner and got birthday cake for him that night. Phoenix loved getting a new scout uniform from Nana and Papa.  He couldn't wait to put it on.  Then later that night Steve took Phoenix out to a REAL Salt Lake game.  I would say that his birthday was a huge success!

For Phoenix's birthday he got sent some money.  So I took him to go pick out a toy or item that he wanted.  Since he asked us to sign him up for baseball he decided he needed a glove and bat.  He was so happy.  Then he got to to Boy scouts for the first time.  He had such a great time.

He loved getting an  iPod touch for his birthday!

Of course I had to do his 8 year old pictures.  He looked like a stud!!  I can't believe that he is 8!!

Next on our crazy July schedule was welcoming home our nephew from his mission.  We were so excited and we had a big group there to welcome him back home.  When he left on his mission Kaylin was still in my tummy!  So Grandma Baker made her a cute sign to hold for when he came home.

Then we spent the next day with Steve's family and caught up with one another.  Later that night I had prep to do for Phoenix's baptism.   But since that happened in August you are gonna have to wait until next month to hear all about that.
