Phoenix is such a good big brother. He loves to help Reagan bounce in her bouncer. He will gently bounce her up and down and sing her songs. Also when we are in the car if Reagan cries he will tell her that it is all right and that he loves her. SO SWEET!! I love this little boy and how great he is to his little sister!!
So we went into Phoenix's room one day after nap time and we looked all around not able to find him. I promise we looked for a long time. He had his blankets over his head and he had climbed under his fitted sheet. It was so funny we decided to take a picture.
For our anniversary we actually spent the night before. When I was pregnant with Reagan we knew this was going to be a huge transisiton for Phoenix and wanted to reward him for being so good during this time. So we got tickets to Disney on Ice. Since we knew we would have a newborn and I would probably be exhausted due to long sleepless nights we decided Steve would take Phoenix. It was fun because my dad wanted to take Teagan so off the boys went. They went to Disney on Ice and had such a fun time!!
But don't worry that weekend me and Steve celebrated four wonderful years of marriage. We took the kids up to my parents to be watched and we went out to dinner just us for the first time in months!! It was so good, we tried a restaurant we had never been too and tried food we normally wouldn't try. Let me tell you trying new things is awesome. It was so yummy!! I think the kids had a good time with the grandparents too!!
So Steve the little stinker go the first kisses this little girl gave. I think she has him wrapped around her little finger. Exactly where she wants him and exactly where he wants to be.
So the weather was nice for a few days so we went on walks. We love to walk down to BYU and go to the duck pond. Phoenix loves to feed the ducks and chase them. He had so much fun and it was good for all of us. We were starting to get cabin fever from all the cold winter weather.
So Reagan loves tummy time and loves to lay down and stare at toys. So we pulled out our little tummy mat for her and let he have fun. Phoenix loves laying down next to her and showing her how all the toys work. I think sometimes he gets a little jealous of her playing with "his" old toys. But he also it very good about sharing and showing her what to do. Although he does tire her out from all the fun they have together.
Steve- Well he is enjoying life. For his birthday we went to his favorite restaurant and he got all of his golf supplies. He got half of it for Christmas and the other half for his birthday. Now the anticipation of going out on the green is killing him. He loves going outside and playing mini golf with Phoenix. It helps curve the craving of going golfing until the weather is a little warmer. He is also getting ready for school to start again. He is nervous because he hates to leave us all at home while he is at school but he is ready to finish up and graduate.
Whitney- Motherhood is fun!! I love spending my days with my kids and having fun. It is fun to teach them new things and to just play games. I have been spending most of my time trying to teach Phoenix how to prounaciate his words. It is a very slow process but we just keep on working on it. I am anxious to get my garden going. I have been cleaning up my yard and it is getting me ancy to go outside for picnics and play time.
Phoenix- Well this month has been a challenging and fun time for him. He is still doing potty training. He is great as long as we make sure to take him every hour. Although he would rather decorate his room with bodily functions. We have had to figure out how to make that stop. Which is a smelly and frustrating time but we now have it under control. He loves to play airplane and cars with us. He is super cute running around the house chasing us like he is a lion or dinosaur.
Reagan- She is gaining weight. We had her weighed just two weeks ago and she was 10 lbs 6oz. It is quite the relief to her mom since she had only gained 6 oz the first two weeks of life. It is funny even thought she is gaining weight she doesn't show it on her body. She still only fits into newborn clothes. Most 0-3 she swims in. She is smiling like crazy right now. It is so nice. We have had to take her into the doctor quite a bit this last month. For the first two weeks we had to take her in for weight checks to make sure she was gaining weight. The third week of the month we had to take her in due to a granuloma on her belly button. Basically when the babies umbilical cord falls of there are three spots they are suppose to disconnect. Only one of hers did and it created a granuloma. They have had to put a chemical called silver nitrate on it to cauterize it so it will fall off. Then we have had to had it checked every week due to it being a bigger than normal granuloma. So now we keep getting it checked until it is healed. She has also been a very gassy little girl. So much we have to give her gas relief every time she feeds. We have tried to cut certain things out of my diet to see if that was what affecting her but no such luck. She just has a very sensitive stomach. So we just give her medicine until her stomach can handle it better.
That is all for now!!
